How they met.

Here is how Hannah told the story:

“Connor and I actually grew up about 10 minutes down the street from one another. We had close mutual friends from elementary school all the way through college. We knew all about each other but had never formally met. Our Senior year of high school (early 2012), we met through our mutual friends at a Drake concert. We danced together briefly and went our separate ways again.

The Summer between our Junior and Senior years of college, we met again through those same mutual friends. We hit it off almost instantly (he had to work a little at first!) We spent that Summer dating and getting to know one another. At the end of the Summer we reluctantly said goodbye since I attended UT in Austin and he attended LSU. Every holiday break we would reconnect at home (Plano/Frisco). Even though we were very smitten about one another, we had no idea where our careers would take us. We agreed to keep our relationship casual because of this. Connor eventually was hired for a job that would keep him in Dallas, where I was also living. We finally were able to give into what we wanted…officially dating!”

How he asked.

Well, funny enough, I was there! Connor magically came across my phone number and asked me to photograph his proposal to his long time girl friend. It was a Saturday and a wedding day, I normally would not take any other shoots before a wedding because I want to reserve my energy for the wedding later. However, I thought to myself it would be fun. So I agreed to shoot his proposal.

We planned that Connor will take Hannah to the Galleria water wall to meet his co-worker Carl (aka me). When they were there, he would call “Carl” and asked where he was. I was very casual and pretended like I was just a tourist who had a camera and took photos of everything, including this cute couple who were walking toward the middle of the water wall. Their wedding day.

We drove to Dallas to shoot Hannah and Connor’s wedding. It was at the beautiful venue of The Milestone in Aubrey, TX. Their day was absolutely gorgeous! The thing I remember the most about the day was Connor’s expression when he saw Hannah at their first look and when she walked down the aisle. They were both fun and caring people. Our team couldn’t ask for a better night.
