I met Lauren and Brent for the very first time at a Teahouse and we had a great conversation. They told me about their story. I was excited to know that they were both from my alma mater – the University of Houston. Lauren was attending her first day of lifeguarding at the University of Houston Wellness Center where Brent was working. They were grouped together for training and he introduced himself while hanging on a lane rope in the pool. After the training, when no one else wanted to go out to eat, they ended up on an accidental date to Freebird’s and became friends after that, waiting 1.5
years before beginning to date.
Our conversation carried on and Brent told me about how he proposed. They were on a cruise to Cozumel with our two friends who had just recently gotten engaged. After the boat that was supposed to take them SCUBA diving broke down before picking us up, the
four of them went snorkeling instead. After several set-backs like a broken GoPro and snorkels, Brent proposed underwater Deadpool style with a ringpop and laminated flashcards – so the ring dropping accident would not happen, go Brent! And here they are, sitting down with me to book a photographer for their wedding.
Lauren and Brent booked me early 2017 when I did not even have a wedding portfolio. A few weeks later after she already signed the contract and paid deposit, I sent Lauren my very first wedding gallery and she said the pictures looked amazing. That is when I felt relief that she is aligned with my shooting and editing style.
After so much of back and forth email, I meet them again on their wedding day! Brent could not look more excited. And Lauren, she was already glowing even before the make-up was applied. Their wedding took place at The Carriage House in Conroe, TX with Harry Potter theme. They had a great time, and I believe May the fifth of 2018 was one of their best days. The night went on with a lot of dancing, laughter, and interesting costumes…

I started my photography business purely with my passion for photography. A friend of mine asked me to do his wedding when I was in college and I fell in love. I love the emotions, the laughter, the tears, the chemistry between people in weddings.
