I always have huge admiration for couples that are doing distance relationships. Kayla and John were one of them. They met in Highschool. John was Kayla’s crush and he made the move to take her our on their first date when Kayla was a senior. They dated for 9 months before he went boot camp. But the distance didn’t keep their relationship from blossoming. And just like that, they made 5 years before the big .
When the original proposal plan felt through because of the weather, John couldn’t wait to get down on one knee and pop the question so he did! He asked Kayla to marry him on the street of downtown Houston.
When Kayla talked to me at our initial meeting, even though I had never met John, I felt like she adored John so much. And all they wished for is someone who can capture their wedding day. I loved her vision and ideas, and couldn’t wait for the big day to come. Kayla seemed to be a nice and gentle person, that makes me think to myself “She must has a great family to support her.” She also told me about her grandma and her grandpa who raised her. Unfortunately, her grandpa recently passed away. I was sure, though, he was watching over Kayla from above.
Their wedding day was nothing but perfect! Kayla planned the date for months… without John because of his deployment and everything turned out just like a dream: a beautiful venue full of their loved ones (especially Kayla’s grandma and John’s parents), delicious yet gorgeous looking wedding cake, a down-to-party bridal party, and so many laughters… I can remember the days vividly through these pictures.

I started my photography business purely with my passion for photography. A friend of mine asked me to do his wedding when I was in college and I fell in love. I love the emotions, the laughter, the tears, the chemistry between people in weddings.
