To begin the story, Jana and Matt met when they were both in school and working at their part-time job. Jana told me “Our first interaction was bickering about who did more school work over the previous weekend (I won!). The next weekend I knew I had to get his number! Little did I know, that Matt had it waiting for me. We went to dinner…and drinks…and after drinks that night. 6 hours later, we knew this was something special.”

3 years, a several degrees and 4 cities later, when Jana and Matt were having dinner at Del Friscos, Matt popped the question asking Jana to marry him. That was on 03/10/2018, exactly 3 years from the date he asked Jana for a relationship.

The Wedding day:
If you know Texas, or Houston, you may know that we don’t have many wineries around. So when I heard Jana and Matt would have their wedding at Messina Hof Winery, excitement filled me up. But honestly, I was most looking forward to working with them both! Matt and Jana were really fun people to hang out with. Before becoming professionals, they both worked in customer service fields so they were super nice and understanding. After that, we met a few times before their wedding but I always feel like we had been friends for a long time!

When I arrived, Jana was in her bridal suite with her close friends and family getting ready. I could feel the energy in the room! They talked, drank, and laughed. No wedding day stress at all! Only when Jana’s dad enter the room, she started to be emotional. They had a long and tight family hug, the last hug to Jana before she became a Gray.

Meanwhile, Matt was in his room with his dad. If you know Matt, you probably know he is the most calm guy. He took no time to dress up. But I could sense the nervousness when he had to close his eyes before their first look.

Shortly after that, the ceremony started. It was short and sweet. Actually, it was over before everyone had a chance to sit down 🙂 But that how Jana and Matt were. They cared less about the ritual and more about having fun, creating memories with families and friends. Then, we had a beautiful night with the music playing. Love was a magical thing!
